“Feels like home!”
Reviewed 5 January 2012

The staff at this small bungalow resort do everything they can to make your stay pleasant. It's rather secluded and not much to do at the resort besides relax and take a dip in the beautiful pool or swim in the sea. The small beach is not the greatest on the island but you get a feeling that it is your own private beach! The restaurant is also very nice, the beach is literally at you feet. And if you want to see more of koh samui, wich I reallly think you should, the staff will help you with any transportation.

  “A Fantastic Base”
Reviewed 26 September 2011

The Lipa Lodge is a great base for a holiday on Koh Samui if you are looking for peace & quiet. We had a wonderful time here, the setting is amazing, with a great pool and beautiful sunsets, and the small number of lodges means it's never crowded. The rooms are spacious, clean and the air conditioning works a treat! The food is excellent too - a great choice and to a very high standard. The staff looked after us extremely well and couldn't have done more to help us enjoy our stay.

It's well worth taking a car round the island - the roads aren't too scary once you get used to the mopeds; no-one really speeds and they drive on the same side as the UK. Don't expect to get parked at Chaweng though.

Suggested trips - Samui Boat Charters to Ang Thong; the Tamarind Springs Spa, and Fishermen's Village in Bophut.

All in all a superb break - particular thanks to Pichai and Renoo (manager and receptionist) for making our stay so special.

"Amazing place - wonderful location!”
Reviewed 9 July 2011

Stayed here for 3 nights as part of our 2 week trip to Thailand. It was just so relaxing after frenetic Bangkok. We stayed with our 6 year old in a lovely bungalow overlooking the sea. It's not luxurious but simple, clean and in a spectacular setting. The lovely infinity pool overlooks a beautiful beach and we whiled away the days sunning ourselves and playing in the pool and sea. The location is quiet but that's what we wanted however Nikki Beach is a 50 metre walk up the beach if a little more life is needed. Nathon is also a short taxi ride away - but don't come here if you crave the lights of Chaweng (we split our time between a few places) The food in the restaurant is outstanding (award winning apparently) the garlic king prawns to die for! a great selection of thai food and some international dishes all were wonderful and extremely good value. Service was always with a smile and we can't wait to return to this gem.

“Hochzeit im Lipa Lodge”
Reviewed 24 January 2011
